West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari announced a comprehensive development package for Murshidabad, focusing on stronger law and order, enhanced border security, improved healthcare, and expanded welfare benefits. He said police have been directed to crack down on human trafficking, illegal immigration and cross-border smuggling while strengthening coordination with the BSF. The Chief Minister also announced upgrades at Murshidabad Medical College, a ₹3,600 crore proposal for Ganga erosion control, continued implementation of the Annapurna Yojana, and efforts to bring back migrant workers, promising rapid development in the district over the coming months.
