DR Congo produced a remarkable comeback to defeat Uzbekistan 3-1 and qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 32 for the first time in their history. After Eldor Shomurodov gave Uzbekistan an early lead, Yoane Wissa equalised from the penalty spot before Fiston Mayele completed the turnaround. Wissa added his second in stoppage time to seal the historic victory and earn Player of the Match honours. DR Congo will now face England in the Round of 32 on July 1.
