The Duke of Edinburgh officially declared the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games closed, thanking athletes, officials, volunteers and supporters for embodying the spirit of the Commonwealth. In his closing address, he praised the unity and excellence displayed throughout the Games and formally invited the Commonwealth family to reunite in Ahmedabad, India, for the 2030 Commonwealth Games, which will mark the 100th anniversary of the Games.
