Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has set a target to make Mumbai slum-free within the next 10 years through cluster-based redevelopment. The plan includes the redevelopment of Dharavi and old MHADA colonies, modernisation of BEST depots, new urban centres and major connectivity projects. Fadnavis also outlined a vision to take the MMR economy to $1.5 trillion by 2047, with Vadhavan Port, Mumbai 3, Pune and Nagpur emerging as key growth hubs.
