India will resume general tourist visa services for Bangladeshi citizens from June 28, 2026, after a nearly two-year suspension. The announcement was made by newly appointed Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Dinesh Trivedi, during a press conference in Dhaka. The move is expected to boost tourism, family visits, business travel, and strengthen people-to-people ties while marking a positive step in normalising India-Bangladesh bilateral relations.
