India and the UAE have signed a 50:50 joint venture between Cochin Shipyard Limited and Drydocks World to expand Kochi’s International Ship Repair Facility. The facility will grow from 6 to 16 workstations and is expected to service over 80 vessels annually, strengthening Kochi’s position as a global ship repair hub and boosting India’s maritime ambitions.
