Union Minister JP Nadda said the government held detailed discussions with a delegation representing the ongoing agitation and received a written draft outlining their demands. He assured that copies of the FIRs related to the cases would be provided and that no retaliatory action would be taken against protesters. Nadda also said the government sympathises with those affected and will provide compensation in accordance with existing rules and regulations. He added that the delegation's five-point charter of demands would be considered as the Centre continues dialogue to address the issue.
