Mamata Banerjee Slams BJP Over Alleged Interference in Abhishek Banerjee's Hospitalisation

Former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has alleged that the BJP government pressured hospitals and nursing homes through the police administration not to admit TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee for treatment. She said doctors assessed his condition and admitted him to the ICU on medical advice. Supporting the claim, TMC MP Derek O'Brien cited a hospital letter stating that Abhishek Banerjee was brought to the hospital at around 8:05 PM on May 30, received treatment in the Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU), was provided necessary supportive care, and left at 11 PM. The allegations have sparked a fresh political confrontation between the TMC and BJP.
