Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev agreed to elevate India-Uzbekistan relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The two countries also set a $5 billion bilateral trade target by 2030 and expanded cooperation across trade, infrastructure, critical minerals, defence, healthcare, technology, agriculture, education and culture. Several MoUs and agreements were exchanged, including a plan to restore and conserve the Buddhist sites of Fayaz Tepa and Kara Tepa in Uzbekistan.
