Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi received a grand ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed her on her first official visit to India. The visit, held from July 1–3, includes the 16th India-Japan Annual Summit, with both leaders expected to discuss strengthening cooperation in trade, investment, defence, technology, and the Indo-Pacific under the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership.
