Suvendu Adhikari Hails Centre's Rural Push for Bengal

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari announced that the Centre has approved several key initiatives to boost rural development, housing and agriculture in the state. These include the sanction of 1 lakh PMAY-Gramin houses, four new agricultural training centres and laboratories, expanded farmer support under PM-KISAN, improved seed sourcing for potato and jute cultivation, verification of 2.56 crore job cards for the 125-day employment programme, and an extension of the PMAY beneficiary list deadline from July 20 to August 15. The announcements followed discussions with Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan aimed at accelerating development across West Bengal.
