Indian judoka Yamini Mourya secured a silver medal in the women's 57kg category at the Commonwealth Games 2026 after a closely contested final against England's Acelya Toprak. The match remained scoreless before Toprak won in the Golden Score period following Mourya's third shido penalty. Earlier, Mourya defeated Ghana's Frema Agyei and South Africa's Donné Breytenbach by Ippon to reach the final. Her silver, along with gold medals won by Asmita Dey and Harsh Singh, completed a historic three-medal opening day for India's judo team in Glasgow.
