Union Home Minister Amit Shah highlighted what he described as Uttar Pradesh’s transformation from a state affected by crime and unemployment into an emerging hub for investment, manufacturing and employment. Addressing the UP International Trade Show 2026, Shah cited the defence corridor, vehicle manufacturing, medical device park and One District One Product initiative as examples of the state’s changing economic landscape. He also launched the ODOP website and said the trade show would help promote UP’s manufacturers and products globally.
