"Auckland Has Given New Momentum to India–New Zealand Ties": PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon held delegation-level talks in Auckland, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to New Zealand in 40 years. Thanking PM Luxon for the warm welcome, Modi described the visit as a historic milestone and praised the rapid progress on the India–New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (FTA). Both leaders elevated bilateral ties to a Strategic Partnership, reaffirming their commitment to expanding cooperation in trade, investment, defence, technology, and the Indo-Pacific while opening a new chapter in India–New Zealand relations.
