India is celebrating its third National Space Day, commemorating the historic Chandrayaan mission and the achievement at Shiv Shakti Point near the Moon’s south pole. Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat highlighted the rapid growth of India’s space ecosystem, saying private-sector participation has opened new opportunities. He also said ISRO’s operational capacity has expanded manifold, with satellite development, payload manufacturing, applications and launches becoming faster and more efficient.
