APEDA has facilitated the first-ever export of fresh Amrapali mangoes from Jharkhand to the United Kingdom, marking a major milestone for the state's agricultural sector. A women-led Farmer Producer Company from Simdega district exported 1.5 metric tonnes of mangoes following APEDA's export-oriented capacity-building programme for farmers and producer organizations.
Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal hailed the achievement as a powerful example of "Local Goes Global," stating that the initiative is helping farmers secure better prices, empowering women, and giving fresh momentum to India's agricultural exports.
