President Droupadi Murmu has reaffirmed the strong and enduring friendship between India and Romania, highlighting a shared vision for deeper cooperation across trade, technology, defence, and innovation. During her talks with Romanian President Nicușor Dan, both leaders agreed to work towards doubling bilateral trade over the next three years. President Murmu also emphasized the opportunities offered by the proposed India–EU Free Trade Agreement and announced plans to expand collaboration in manufacturing, healthcare, renewable energy, artificial intelligence, science and technology, and defence.
