Addressing the YiFi Entrepreneurship Summit 2026 in Madurai, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman highlighted India's rapid economic growth, thriving startup ecosystem, and expanding digital infrastructure. She said India is the world's fastest-growing major economy, with over 2.4 lakh DPIIT-recognised startups creating more than 23 lakh jobs and UPI processing over 20 billion transactions every month. Emphasising Madurai's rich entrepreneurial heritage, she urged young innovators to build boldly, responsibly, and create solutions for both India and the world.
