After Auston Trusty gave the USA an early lead, Arda Güler and Barış Yılmaz turned the game around before Sebastian Berhalter equalised in the second half. Kaan Ayhan scored a stoppage-time winner to secure all three points for Türkiye. Arda Güler, who became Türkiye's youngest-ever FIFA World Cup goalscorer, was named Player of the Match.
